  City of Makkah Al Mukarramah in the western region of Saudi Arabia. Makkah has several names including Um Al-Quraa, Al-Balad Al-Haram, Al-Balad Al-Amin.

Makkah, the holiest place for Muslims, there is Holy Kaaba in the Holy Haram towards which Muslims from around the world face during prayers. More than two millions Muslims from all over the world pilgrimage to Makkah every year to perform Hajj. It is a Holy city since the period of prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) and pre islamic period. Makkah, the cily of revelation, the divine source of the islamic message, the Holy city where prophet Mohammad Bin Abdullah (PBUH) was born in 570 G. Prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) along with his son Ismail elevated the base of Kaaba following the orders from Almighty Allah. The old city was an important center for trade with the Arab tribes who visited the descendants of prophet Ibrahim (PBUH) every year for pilgrimage. Makkah has never lost its sanctity because the Holy Kaaba is the Qiblaa for every Muslim.
